Middle Broad Oak.
The client wanted a useable and modern family home that respected the building’s roots as an old agricultural barn. We used a juxtaposition of styles to capture the past while embracing the future of this home as a contemporary living space.
The kitchen floors and worktop were made from poured concrete, we used sandblasted oak and exposed beams to add a rustic feel, along with a feature stone wall in the master bedroom and snug.
The stand alone bath, custom made furniture and cinema room were a nod towards contemporary living.
The Fine Details
We sourced the boards on the stairs and landing from a company that drives over them with a fork lift truck to give them their lived in, worn look.
